The Replacements Store is an optional feature of Philter that stores the locations in text that were identified as sensitive information. The purpose of the Replacements Store is to provide a historical record of how input text was manipulated.
Using the Replacements Store
The Replacements Store is disabled by default.
The Replacements Store utilizes Elasticsearch as the backend storage mechanism so an instance of Elasticsearch is required. See Philter's Settings for enabling and configuring the Replacements Store.
Philter uses Elasticsearch as the backend for the Replacements Store.
Querying the Replacements Store
The Replacements Store can be queried via Philter’s API. By providing a document identifier, the API will return information about the sensitive information that was identified by Philter.
